FFKM stands for perfluoroether rubber, which is the main material for sealing ring products or rubber products made of perfluorinated materials. Compared with ordinary FKM fluorine rubber,
FFKM is a more advanced sealing material in terms of material application and price, it can be said that they do not belong to the same level of products.
FFKM Perfluorinated rubber seal material is excellent in high temperature and corrosion resistance (can withstand more than 1600 chemical corrosion).
FFKM perfluorinated rubber seal material is composed of TFE (main), PMVE (branch chain) and bridge parts. It not only has the excellent resistance to high and low temperature and chemical corrosion similar to PTFE, but also has the softness and elasticity of rubber. The operating temperature of the general perfluoro rubber seal ring is generally between -25°C and +240°C.
The compression deformation rate of FFKM perflurane rubber sealing ring material is only less than 50% at 300°C, and its high temperature resistance can be up to 327°C. Even when exposed to continuous high temperatures of 316°C or intermittent high temperatures of 343°C, it will not harden and become brittle, and will not cause seal failure. It retains its elasticity and resilience when in direct contact with aggressive fluids.
Perfluorinated rubber seals also have excellent air tightness, high cleanliness and plasma resistance, so they are widely used in practical applications. These characteristics are particularly important for applications in the semiconductor industry.
